The SR-71 Guard Bar is a safety razor built for a forgiving, close shave. The guard bar sits between the blade and the skin, which means less risk of nicks and cuts, especially for guys new to safety razors or wet shaving in general.
The handle is solid stainless steel. 139 grams. That weight is what makes a safety razor work the way it's supposed to. You're not pressing the razor against your face. You're letting gravity and the weight of the handle do the work. The blade does the cutting. Your job is to guide it.
