The Holy Black Barbershop
The Holy Black Barbershop sits at 168 N Wellwood Ave in Lindenhurst, New York. Same guys who make the pomade. Different building, same standards. Classic cuts, straight-razor shaves, hot towels, and a chair that doesn't rush you out the door.
What we do
The board is short on purpose. You come in for a cut, a shave, or both.
- Classic haircut — clippers, scissors, or both. Whatever the head calls for.
- Straight-razor shave — full prep. Hot towel, lather, straight razor, cold towel to close it up.
- Beard trim and shape — full beard, chinstrap, whatever the situation is.
- Cut and shave combo — the works.
- Kids' cuts — 12 and under.
Every service uses Holy Black products. Whatever you smell in the shop, we sell in the shop.
Who's cutting
The chairs are worked by Kevin, Tony, Saul, Anthony, Nick, Robby, and RJ. All of them do the full menu. If you have a preference, book with them directly. If you don't, whoever's open takes the next chair.
Book a chair
Book at Squire. Saturdays fill up first, so if you're set on a specific time or a specific barber, get on the calendar early in the week.
About the building
The shop opened in what used to be a 1932 funeral parlor. We ripped out the carpet on day one and found the original tile underneath. Most of what you see now is either what was there or built to match it. Barber chairs from the era, mirrors that came out of storage after fifty years, and a back room that used to hold caskets.
